Our Roots

Next Level Gardens grew out of years spent teaching, observing, and working alongside people as they learn something new and slowly gain confidence in it.

Before this work focused on landscapes, it focused on classrooms. The same pattern showed up again and again...real understanding doesn't come from quick fixes or rigid formulas. It comes from paying attention, asking good questions, making mistakes, and revisiting decisions over time.

Land works the same way.

Many landscapes struggle not because people don't care, but because they're asked to make permanent decisions without enough context - about plants, soils, water, timing, or long-term maintenance. Too often, success is measured by how things look right after installation, not how they function years later.

Next Level Gardens exists to change that.

We work with real properties, in real conditions, over multiple seasons - helping people understand what their land is telling them and how to respond thoughtfully. Sometimes that means planting. Other times it means waiting. Often it means learning why something didn't work - and adjusting the plan.

For the 2026 growing season, Next Level Gardens is operating in a pilot phase where we will steward a small group of residential and community projects to develop, test, and refine our land care approach through hands-on work and seasonal observation.

This isn't about rushing to a finished look.

It's about building understanding, resilience, and confidence - one season at a time.
